WRC RECYCLING GIVES BACK WITH £5,000 DONATION TO CASH4KIDS MISSION CHRISTMAS

Jan 30, 2023

In an effort to ensure every child gets a present at Christmas, Renfrewshire-based recycler, WRC Recycling, has donated £5,000 in support of Cash4Kids’ Mission Christmas Appeal 2022.

Last month, the business pledged to donate 10% of new skip-hire sales throughout the month of December in an effort to ease the current financial strain felt by a number of families across Glasgow and the West.

The annual appeal, which sets out to bring Christmas to children living in poverty, raised a total of £14.1million which resulted in 286,000 children across the UK waking up to a gift on Christmas morning – making 2022 a record-breaking year.

WRC Managing Director, Robert Capper, said:

“As a family-run business, we understand wholeheartedly the pressures families are feeling as a result of the current economic crisis.

“It has been heart-warming to see the efforts from communities and local businesses that have helped to provide support to vulnerable families, and we are hopeful that the £5,000 donation from WRC helps to make a difference to those who are struggling during these unprecedented times.

“We would like to extend our thanks to the team at Cash4Kids who work tirelessly to give support to families across the region, whilst trying to better the lives of the most vulnerable children within our communities. I would also like to thank those in the local community who trusted WRC with their skip-hire requirements last month, and whose efforts form part of WRC’s significant contribution.”

WRC Recycling is a family-run business that aims to support the Scottish Government’s plans to become a zero-waste economy by 2025. The Group currently employs around 80 staff and has ambitious growth plans heading into 2023.
