Renfrewshire-based Recycling firm, WRC Recycling, forms a partnership with Renfrewshire Council and DFN Project Search, and welcomes local youth, Mitchell Marshall, as the business’s latest recruit.
DFN Project search is an international transition to work programme that provides young people with learning difficulties and autism opportunities to enter the world of work. The pioneering programme offered by the foundation has helped to transform the lives of young people across Scotland through partnering with local businesses that can offer valuable work experience to interns across an array of sectors.
WRC is delighted to welcome 22-year-old, Mitchell Marshall, on-site at the business’ recycling premises in Inchinnan where he will gain industry-leading training as the firm helps him navigate his career in the Environmental industry. Mitchell, from Paisley, joined Project Search earlier this year with hopes of finding a role in Recycling that would help him develop his existing skillset whilst providing him with confidence in his abilities to pursue a successful career.
DFN Project Co-ordinator, Ian Stewart, said:
“We are delighted to have successfully worked in partnership to create this work experience at WRC Recycling for Mitchell and hopefully for many more of our DFN Project SEARCH Interns who want to experience working within the environmental industry.
It’s great working alongside an employer who wants to provide support to our interns and this only enhances their employability skills to progress into employment.”
