WRC PROVIDES A CHRISTMAS DONATION TO ONE OF ITS VALUED CUSTOMERS, ERSKINE VETERANS CHARITY

Jan 7, 2025

Prior to the festive break, WRC was delighted to announce a £500 donation to one of its loyal customers, the Erskine Veterans Charity. This meaningful contribution underscores WRC’s commitment to giving back to organisations that provide vital support to communities, particularly to veterans who have selflessly served the nation.

This donation follows the commencement of waste management services earlier this year between WRC Recycling and the Erskine Veterans Charity. The collaboration has since flourished, with WRC providing tailored and sustainable waste solutions that align with Erskine’s mission to improve operations and uphold environmental standards.

Margaret Kerr, Head of Trade Waste at WRC Recycling, shared her thoughts on the partnership and donation: “At WRC, we consider it a privilege to work alongside the Erskine Veterans Charity, an organisation that makes a real difference in the lives of so many. As a family-run business, giving back to a charity that provides such essential care and support to our veterans is deeply rewarding. We look forward to continuing our work together and achieving even greater impact in the future.”

The Erskine Veterans Charity, which supports over 800 veterans annually, expressed its gratitude for the donation and partnership. Nick O’Neill, Transport and Support Service Manager at Erskine Veterans Charity, stated:

“We cannot thank WRC Recycling enough for their kindness and generosity towards the Erskine Veterans Charity. Their incredible donation will make a significant difference in our work of supporting over 800 veterans every year, ensuring they receive the care and assistance they deserve.

He continued: “The excellent partnership we have with WRC Recycling allows us to focus on what we do best—caring for our veterans—while entrusting all aspects of our waste management to the experts. From handling commercial and domestic waste to comprehensive recycling services, their efficient and dependable approach has transformed operations across our Glasgow and Edinburgh sites, making them more effective and sustainable. Thanks to WRC’s tailored solutions, we have achieved significant improvements in our waste management processes, and we look forward to continuing this successful partnership.”

WRC Recycling is committed to fostering long-term relationships with its partners and customers while championing environmental sustainability and community support. WRC looks forward to continuing its partnership with Erskine Veterans Charity in 2025.
